World Xinomavro Day 2022 at Electra Palace Athens.

On November 1st we celebrate the International Xinomavro Day.

On Tuesday, November 1, the association “Winemakers of Northern Greece” celebrates the “International Xinomavro Day” by organizing 2 parallel events in Athens. The masterclass entitled “Xinomavro at its best!” and the wine tasting exhibition “The Voroina of Xinomavro”.

Both events will take place at the Electra Palace Athens hotel (18-20 Navarchou Nikodimou Street in Plaka) with opening hours:

• Masterclass: 18:00-20:00
• Wine tasting exhibition: 18:00-22:00

The events are addressed to the general public, consumers who wish to get to know the aspects of this multi-dynamic and multidimensional variety, but also professionals from the field of catering, wine trade, sommelier, wine experts, wine journalists, etc., who are interested in enriching their knowledge on Xinomavro and the vineyard of Northern Greece.

A reservation is required to participate in the events, by filling in a different registration form for each event.

Masterclass: Xinomavro at its best!

The “Winemakers of Northern Greece” choose the best wine of their range based on Xinomavro, to prove how this variety conquers all the markets of the world.

With his guidance, thorough knowledge and above all his ability to transmit them, the master of wine Konstantinos Lazarakis will take us mentally to the vineyards of Northern Greece, where Xinomavro is mainly cultivated and produces wines of the variety, which worthily highlight the depth of its special and unique characteristics.

Wine tasting exhibition “The Voroina of Xinomavro”

Tasting event of the association “Winemakers of Northern Greece” with wines of the Xinomavro variety, on November 1, at the World Xinomavro Day!

The beloved “Voroina” for the first time are dressed in the colorful costume of Xinomavro presenting its rich color and taste palette, with wines indicating PDO or PGI, monovarietal or in blend, white, orange, rosé, red, young and aged, dry or sparkling and others, from the famous vineyards of Northern Greece.

At the exhibition, the public will have the opportunity to taste from the tables where Xinomavro bottles will be placed all their expressions, from the 4 PDO zones of the variety to limited circulation labels.
