Wine tasting 2023 in Thebes.

After last year’s success and the warm response from the public, Thebes, homeland of God Dionysus, hosts for the second year the Wine Festival (Wine Tasting 2023). The Festival will take place on Friday, June 23, in the courtyard of the Archaeological Museum of Thebes, a place that connects ancient Greek tradition with modern history and with wine as the common denominator. In an evening dedicated to wine and the fine wine producers of Central Greece, the guest of honor will be the distinguished chef Gikas Xenakis, who will reveal tasting secrets for the best combination of cheese and wine. The Thebes Wine Festival is organized by the Municipality of Thebes and the Municipal Organization of Thebes (TIF), in co-organization with the Municipalities of Tanagra, Aliartos-Thespies, the Chamber of Viotia and the Ephorate of Antiquities of Viotia. Thebes, a crossroad of civilization of antiquity, also emerges as a crossroad of the special variety of wines of Central Greece.
