Peloponnese Wine Festival Athens 2024 at the Athenaeum InterContinental Athens.
The Peloponnese Wine Festival, the most important collective presentation of the wines of the Peloponnesian vineyard, is coming for the 6th year in order to highlight the wines of the largest vineyard in Greece. 51 members – wineries of the Peloponnese Vineyard Wine Producers Association (ENOAP) will welcome the oenophile public and professionals at the Athenaeum Intercontinental Hotel, on Monday, January 22, 2024.
The Peloponnese Wine Festival is a “manifesto” of the virtues of Peloponnesian wine, emphasizing the characteristics of the southernmost vineyard of the mainland, with the abundance of cultivated varieties, the plethora of different styles produced, the uniqueness of the viticultural zones and the range of quality producers that place Greek wine, as a whole, in the next day. The event, as every year, gathers classic and new producers who “trade” with the public through the great wines they present.
This year’s exhibition will present to its audience wines from indigenous and international varieties, from mountainous to coastal vineyards, from traditional or innovative techniques, from new and old vintages, as well as the famous Protected Designations of Origin and Protected Geographical Indication zones that highlight the unique characteristics of terroir. The exhibition is a dynamic and evolving field of discovery for every professional and wine lover.
At the same time, the Peloponnese Wine Festival returns to the impressive parallel actions, organizing a thematic tasting with past wine years selected by the participating producers and will take place in a side – of the main event – hall. The so-called “Vintage Hall” will operate from 15:00 – 20:00 and entrance will be possible with an extra ticket fee which you can pre-purchase through more.com platform. The available tickets, including tasting at the “Vintage Hall”, are limited, so it is advisable to enter the pre-purchase process before they sell out. The tasting will highlight the aging potential of the top white and red wine varieties of the Peloponnesian vineyard and is sure to impress with the depth and breadth of the wines selected.
The event will open its doors at 12:00 and will end at 21:00. The “Vintage Hall” will operate alongside the main event from 15:00-20:00. The entrance fee is 12€ with pre-purchase until 19/01, and 15€ from 20/01 and at the box office of the event. The entrance fee including the “Vintage Hall” is 20€ with pre-purchase until 19/01 and 25€ from 20/01 and at the box office of the event. Student 10€ with demonstration of student ID at the box office of the event and 20€ for participation in the “Vintage Hall” tasting. The ticket includes the commemorative tasting glass.
