Oenorama 2020
Event Navigation

Welcome to Oenorama, the world’s leading Greek wine exhibition. Oenorama was created in 1994 and over the years has adapted to the evolving Greek wine market remaining pertinent, beneficial and accessible to both the consumer and the wine trade. The one thing that hasn’t changed at Oenorama is the show’s protagonist: Wine. Oenorama has evolved from a traditional wine trade fair into a multi-level communication platform that caters to the needs of a diverse public, including growers, the trade (both foreign and domestic) and wine-loving consumers. It seeks to effectively promote the wines, the wineries and the people behind the wines, both inside the exhibition and online with a dynamic presence on the social media.!
Once again, this year’s Oenorama is being held at the most centrally located venue in Athens, the Zappeion Megaron Exhibition Hall and Conference Centre, adjacent to the National Gardens a few hundred meters from the Greek Parliament; this historic venue (where Greece signed its accession to the European Common Market in 1981), has proven an ideal location for Oenorama in both size and style. The beautiful high-ceilinged halls have plenty of natural light and it are easily accessible with all forms of public transportation; numerous hotels and restaurants are within walking distance, making Zappeion convenient to both exhibitors and visitors. For the foreign visitor, it is a mere 40’ train ride from the airport.
Twenty-six years after its launch, then, Oinorama is no longer a conventional exhibition, but a multilevel communication platform for the multidimensional display of its exhibits in various common goals. At the same time, it promotes effective companies and individuals behind wine, as well as their philosophy, both in-house and online, through a dynamic presence on social networks, which is further enhanced each year.
This year, Oinorama is also organized in the center of Athens, at the Zappeion Palace, a place that has been identified with the exhibition and has proven to be the ideal venue for wine promotion. The beautiful high-ceilinged rooms with natural light, easy access by all means of transport, the dozens of hotels and restaurants within walking distance of Zappeion ensure the best possible conditions for exhibitors and visitors to the exhibition.
Wine making
This year, Oinorama opens its doors to some selected wine-making companies’ who wish to support the Greek wine (Oinotechniki) with their presence. This presence at a central point in the exhibition enriches Oinorama and enables professionals in the industry to make meaningful contacts with the exhibitors’ winemakers but also with the thousands of visitors to the exhibition.
In addition to the many thousands of exhibitors, professionals (including dozens of foreigners) and wine consumers, Oinorama is also expected to host dozens of wine buyers and winemakers from major wine markets abroad this year.
Various innovations made from 2015 to last year (Wine Hall of Discover, Discover Greek Wines / Tasting Square ©, Winemakers Olive Oil, etc.) continue to be supported this year in Oinorama, where there will again be a high aesthetics room Parallel Events.
The repetition of the successful series of events at the last events of the exhibition, aimed at attracting and satisfying a wide range of audiences, from the consumer to the specialist foreign buyer, will also confirm this year that Oenorama is an annual milestone:
