Wine Tasting & Pairing at Retro Castro.

En Primeur Greece in collaboration with Retro Gastro presents the Gavalas Winery.

En Primeur Greece, the first platform for the sale of en primeur Greek wines and investment services based on wine, organizes the first, of a series of dinners in collaboration with the retro funky gastro taverna restaurant, in order to acquaint the Greek public with the en primeur process and the investment opportunities that exist in the field of global wine trade.

Attendees will have the opportunity to exclusively test Mavrotragano and Enalia 2021, directly from the barrels and tanks of the winery, in accordance with the standards of the en primeur tests of Bordeaux.

The presentation will be made by Vangelis Gavalas.

This will be followed by a 4-stage dinner, with pairing of wines from the winery.

  • Fresh, kneaded bread with olives and olive oil
  • Gaspacho Prickly Pear with cheese cream and carob bread
    Santorini Gavala, Indigenous yeasts 2021
  • Grilled scallops with beurre blanc and roasted hazelnuts

  • Wild boar in red wine jus with spices and carrot puree

  • Baklava with dark chocolate syrup

The serving of the wines will be undertaken by the sommelier and co-founder of En Primeur Greece, with a tenure at the 2-star Michelin, Midsummer House in Cambridge and the 3-star Michelin, The Fat Duck in Bray, George Mandravelis.

The cost is 50€ per person.
For the reservation, a deposit of the amount is required.
