Map of Flavors 2023
Map of Flavors 2023 at Vellidio Conference Center.
“The time is approaching for the most important annual meeting of the wine sector in Northern Greece”
The Taste Map 2023 will take place on the weekend of December 2 & 3 at the Ioannis Vellidis Conference Center in Hellexpo.
And this year, the Charter of Flavors celebrates its 20th anniversary! The most important wine event in Northern Greece was organized for the first time in 2003 at Mylos, grew and became a wine institution in Warehouse C at the Port of Thessaloniki and has now ‘launched’ in the high aesthetic and functional conference center of Helexpo.
In these 20 years, the exhibition has grown and evolved, has been improved and upgraded along with Greek wine, aiming at its best possible communication. It has accompanied and highlighted the impressive increase in the number of wineries in the country and, clearly, the skyrocketing quality of Greek wines. And in December 2023, bigger and stronger than ever, the Map of Flavors is preparing to gather the whole world of Greek wine. On the one hand, more than 160 winemakers and distillers, as well as importers/distributors of wines, winemaking materials, packaging, asseccoirs etc. They will showcase their products and activity, ready to answer questions, share cultivation options, production techniques and other interesting facts.
On the other hand, thousands of visitors, consumers and a host of important wine personalities and professionals from Greece and abroad will have the unique opportunity to taste an amazingly wide range of wines and spirits, representing almost every viticultural zone of the country and well-known winemaking regions of the world. Moreover, this year’s participation of 12 wineries in Cyprus gives the opportunity for a real acquaintance with the wealth of the Cypriot vineyard.
As every year, the rich program of parallel events, with presentations & presentations, tastings and masterclasses, mini seminars & cooking demonstrations, structured on the impressive stage of the Conference Center, is expected to attract the interest of visitors.
Wine Plus, as the organizer of the Map of Flavors, contributes substantially to the qualitative and targeted communication and promotion of Greek wine and by extension Greek gastronomy, to the creation of wine education to the general consumer public as well as to the enrichment of the cultural-tourist “spirit” of Thessaloniki.
