Foam and Nectar 2023
Event Navigation

Foam and Nectar 2023 at the Athens Conservatory – Arts Foyer Hall.
“Foam and Nectar” is a tasting event dedicated exclusively to two categories of Greek and foreign wines, sparkling and sweet. In other words, the categories of dessert and dessert wines, respectively, that is, those that are usually consumed before and after a good meal.
The event is organized for the 3rd year, this year on December 10 at 12:00-20:00, in the brand new and high minimalist aesthetic hall “Foyer of Arts” of the Athens Conservatoire.
“Foam and Nectar” is a unique rendezvous of wine lovers with the enchanting bubbles of sparkling and the velvety warmth of sweet wines. Among the sparkling wines, champagne, the French sparkling wine exclusively from the region of Champagne, which remains the undisputed queen of wine bubbles, had and maintains a special role. It cannot, however, be noted that Greek sparkling wines have been flourishing for years. As for sweet wines, where Greece plays in world class, these cover most of the “dessert wines” category, but fortified wines, which are not necessarily sweet, are also included.
The purpose of “Foam & Nectar” is twofold:
- Taste champagne and other sparkling wines, as well as dessert wines (sweet and fortified) just before the peak period (Christmas holidays), in order to select labels to be consumed during it and
To introduce the wine loving public to the consumption of sparkling and dessert wines throughout the year, without or with food, before or after it, that is, in any case and not necessarily on the occasion of a special event or specific accompaniment. - “Foam & Nectar”, apart from the wines of Greek wine producers and wine importers in Greece, this year hosts on a special stand the Greek sweet wines that were recently awarded at the international competition Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. At the same time, the parallel events hall will present foreign, sparkling and sweet wines, which recently excelled in the same competition, which is one of the top and largest in the world. This competition is represented in Greece by the company Vinetum, organizer of the event.
