COPPER TIMBRES
In beautiful Variko of Florina, in 2006, a group of young musicians with passion and love for traditional music and dance created the brass orchestra “Bronze Timbres” of Macedonia. From its creation until today, they study, record and interpret with dedication to the traditional form the musical tradition of Macedonia.

It is called “Evritiki” because the complex is based in Evros. The ensemble consists of primitive musical instruments, deeply rooted in tradition and the mind of the Thracians. Over time, different forms of orchestration were introduced, allowing musicians to show off both their improvisational and compositional skills.

GIAGINIDES
The word “Yagini” has Asia Minor origin. It means fire, fire. Rebetes once used it to signify that the erotic capsule was lit inside them. Today two musicians, Spyros and Panagiotis, introduce themselves as “Giaginides” and have managed in a very short time to make rebetiko popular even at younger ages.

BRATIMIA
“Bratimia” is a ceremonial term that comes mainly from the Vlach weddings and refers to the people with whom we are bound by strong bonds of friendship. A group of musicians from Northern Greece who were nurtured in traditional-folk festivals and feasts. Based in Thessaloniki, they travel all over Greece and abroad presenting musical traditions from Greece and the Balkans.
